4ever4 first formed in early 2001. The group consisted of Maria Cantin, Mike Hetu, Bill Zimmerman, and the original fourth member, Marilee. They all enjoyed writing songs, and liked the same kind of music, so coming together as a group was quite easy for them.
The group started out small with only a few fans. But word spread. In a matter of months people all over the country were talking about 4ever4! They had even gained themselves some fans overseas.
A little fun fact for the fans: 4ever4 started out as a joke!
"We were just writing funny songs at first, just joking around. Back when we were writing the joke songs, we never even thought about becoming famous or any of this. But when we started writing seriously, everyone started talking about us. Everyone knew us. It was completely unexpected," said 4ever4's Bill in a recent interview.
On November 8th of 2001, Marilee announced that she would be leaving the group for artistic differences. This was unexpected to both the media and to the rest of 4ever4. 4ever4 continued writing songs without Marilee, but could not record without a 4th member.
4ever4 searched for months for a person who would fit right in the group. They had a few false alarms where they thought they had found the 4th member, but then decided she wasn't right for the group, or she backed out of it and changed her mind. They were almost losing hope.
Then, in February of 2002, Bill met Katherine Scally and they became good friends. She was musical and wrote songs. She also seemed like she'd be perfect with the others of 4ever4. So in April, Bill asked Katherine if she would like to join 4ever4. And in May, 4ever4 announced to the world that they were four once again.
4ever4 is going stronger than ever. They have 4 members giving their all at the songwriting. They have new up-to-date music equipment. They have fans anxiously awaiting their first album, "4 Now and 4ever". Nothing can stop 4ever4 now.
